What is the cost of shipping?


The Party Cupboard is happy to offer a Standard delivery fee of $11.50 and an Express delivery fee of $18.95

Do you ship internationally?


Given the delicate bulky nature of Party Goods we unfortunately only ship within Australia for the time being. Please join our mailing list if you would like to be kept up to date with any changes to this policy.

I live locally can I please collect my parcel and forgo the delivery fee?

How long will it take for my package to arrive?

We aim to despatch all orders within 24 hours of receiving them, however when taking into account weekends and public holidays this is not always possible

Standard Deliveries: We use the Australia Post regsitered, signature upon delivery eparcel service who endeavour to ensure standard delivery for NSW, SA, TAS & VIC between 4 to 6 business days from despatch of order. This however does depend on the size of your order and its destination. For WA, NT & Far North Queensland please allow up to 7 to 10 business days from despatch. For more accurate delivery times relevant to your actual postal code please check the Australia Post website to your location from Tasmania 7140

Express Deliveries: To ensure your parcel is sent as fast as possible, we recommend the Express delivery option. This Guarantees your parcel will be picked and sent the same day, (provided your order is placed and fully paid for before 12pm EST on a working day Monday - Friday). This also guarantees your parcel will be priority delivered as soon as possible by Australia Post. For express delivery timeframes please refer to the Australia Post's Guaranteed Express Post Delivery Network.

How can I track my order?


When we despatch your order you will receive two emails. One from us advising your parcel has been despatched with a shipment number and one from Australia Post containing a tracking ID. You can use this tracking ID provided by Australia Post to track your parcel on their website. http://auspost.com.au/track/

What if I am not home when my package arrives?


Australia Post will deliver the parcel to your address. If you're not home when it arrives, the postman will leave a note at your place and take your parcel back to your local AusPost Office. They'll keep it there for five days, following this they will send you another note to remind you to come and collect the goods and hold the parcel for an additional five days. Once the ten days has expired AusPost will return the package to us, we will then issue a refund for the goods less the original shipping fee and a return to sender fee of $20.

My items haven't arrived yet. What can I do?


You are able to track the status of your order on the Australia Post Website, using the Tracking ID sent to you by Australia Post. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

What are The Party Cupboard's General Days of Trade?


Monday – Friday, excluding Public Holidays 

What are The Party Cupboard's Christmas & New Year Days of Trade?


Our order despatch department will be closed on Thurday 25th & Friday 26th of December and Thursday 1st January. All other days will be business as usual.

2. Returns & Exchanges

We have four rules of returns - returns must be:

  1. Made within 7 days from receipt of goods.
  2. Unused and Unopened in their original packaging.
  3. In the same box you received your item in.
  4. Presentation of your original receipt as proof of purchase.

To prevent damage in the returns process, please be sure to package the items well.

All “change of mind” returns must be shipped and handled at the customer's own cost. The Party Cupboard is not responsible or liable for any goods lost in transit and therefore recommends registered post for all returns. Please note this policy is for full priced items only, refunds or exchanges are not permitted on sale items.

How long do I have to return my purchase?


We allow up to 7 days from receipt of goods for you to return your item/s.

How long does it take for me to receive a refund?


We aim to refund your purchase within 7 days of receiving the return.

How will I be refunded?


Refunds are issued through the same transaction method used to make the original purchase. If the product was ordered with a gift voucher or promotional voucher, we reserve the right to refund any amounts due to you by issuing you a voucher to the value of the order.

Do you issue a refund if I don't like the product once I have received it?


We do our best to ensure that the image and description on the website are an accurate depiction of the product. If you are still not satisfied, please return the item(s) to us within 7 days of receiving the goods in its original, unopened packaging with a returns form attached. Once our Quality Control team confirms that the item is in its original condition, a refund will be issued.

What if my item is faulty?


Our Quality Control team try to ensure that all products are of a high quality when they leave the warehouse. In the rare circumstance that your item has a defect or was damaged during delivery, please contact us within 7 days of receiving the goods for details of how to return your item for an exchange or refund.

I need to return an item, but I don't have the original packaging. Now what?

Sorry we will not offer an exchange or refund in instances where you have opened the goods and/or simply changed your mind. If the item is faulty please contact us within 7 days of receiving the goods for details of how to return your item for an exchange or refund. 

The item I want is out of stock. What now?

Although we try to have a stock level that will keep up with demand, some highly popular items may run out of stock. We are re-ordering all the time so please contact us and we can let you know when we will be back in stock.

Do you place items on backorder?


No, your item will not be placed on backorder. Although we avoid advertising products that are no longer in stock, in the instance that your item has sold out you will be contacted by the Customer Service team. They will advise on delivery time frames, or alternatively arrange a credit or refund. 

Can I place an item on hold for purchase at a later date?


Sorry, but we do not offer this option.

3. Changes or Additions to orders

Unfortunately once an order has been placed we are unable to make any changes or additions to it, regardless of whether it has been processed or not.

 Is there somewhere I can go to view the product prior to purchasing?

Unfortunately, we do not have a retail store and for safety reasons we cannot allow customers in the warehouse. If you have any questions regarding the products, please do not hesitate to email us.

I'm having problems ordering through your website. What can I do?

Our website is best supported by Gogole Chrome, Safari or Mozilla Firefox. Please ensure that the browser you are using is up to date.

How do I unsubscribe from your mailing list?

Please open an email sent to you by THE PARTY CUPBOARD. At the bottom of the email you will see a button that reads 'Unsubscribe'. By clicking on this button, you will be unsubscribed to any further correspondence from The Party Cupboard. Remember, our newsletter is the best way to find out about new products, sales and special member discounts.

What are cookies?  Do I need to enable cookies in my browser?

4. Payment

What payment types do you accept?


The Party Cupboard offers a number of payment methods: 
a. Credit Cards: Visa (including Visa Electron) and MasterCard; 
b. Paypal

Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?


We strive to ensure that every credit card transaction occurs within a secure environment. You can see the transaction is secure if you see a key lock at the bottom right of your web browser. We do not retain your credit card information after your order is complete. Rather, it is submitted directly to our bank. You can rest assured that with each purchase your credit card or bank account information will be secured.

My credit card details are not being accepted. What's wrong?


Please check with your bank or financial institution. 

My computer froze while processing payment. How will I know that my payment went through successfully?


All successful transactions will receive a confirmation email within an hour of purchase. If you have not received confirmation via email, please try placing your order again. Alternatively, contact our Customer Service Team to confirm the placement of your order.

Are your prices in Australian Dollars (AUD)?

Yes, all pricing is in Australian Dollars.

Do you match prices if I see an item on sale elsewhere?


No, but we do our best to ensure we have competitive prices.

Do your prices include GST?


Yes, all prices include GST.

5. Privacy & Security

How do I know it is safe to shop with you?


We value your privacy and work hard to ensure that your details are secure and will not be released to any other party. To learn more about how we keep your details safe, please see our privacy policy.

Do you keep my credit card details?


No, we do not store your credit card details.

Will my information be sold to third parties?


Your information will not be sold or passed on to third parties. Your privacy is important to us.

What kind of selection do you have?

The Party Cupboard is proud to stock a wide range Party Supplies from Australian and International brands. Our range is rapidly expanding and our product selection is kept up to date with the latest releases.

6. General

Are the foil balloons delivered filled with Helium?


Our foil balloons are not supplied filled with helium.

How long do the helium balloons last?


Recommendations state that latex balloons, when filled with helium, should last up to 10-14 hours. However, foil balloons last a lot longer than this and can last days. Adults should inflate balloons and supervise their use with children under 9 years

Delivery

Postage & Handling Charges:
The Party Cupboard has partnered with Australia Post eparcel service for both standard and express deliveries.

We offer a Standard delivery fee of $11.50 and an Express delivery fee of $18.95.

We currently ship within Australia only.  

Order Despatch: 

Orders are picked and despatched daily from Monday - Friday. Unfortunately Australia Post will not take receipt of orders on Public Holidays therefore no orders are despatched on such days. We are located in Tasmania, if you need to refer to Public Holiday dates to estimate delivery of your order please click here. We aim to despatch all orders within 24 hours of receipt, however this is not always possible when taking into account weekends and public holidays. If your order is urgent we advise you select the Express Prioirty shipping service, this will ensure your order is picked the same day provided it is placed before 12pm EST.

Please note that a signature is required for all deliveries. If you're not home when it arrives, a notice will be left at your address notifying you of alternate delivery or pick-up arrangements.

Returns

We want you to be happy with everything you buy from us. If you are not completely satisfied with any of the goods you purchase, please return them within 7 days of receipt and we will refund you. Please note this policy applies to full priced items only, refunds or exchanges are not permitted on sale items.

Incorrect Delivery Address & Returned Parcels:
In the instance where an incorrect address is provided or a parcel has been returned to The Party Cupboard as undeliverable, a returned parcel fee of $25 will apply.

We have developed internal procedures consistent with the National Privacy Principles outlined in the Australian Privacy Act 1988. Making a Purchase & the Contract
To make a purchase you are required to complete our simple checkout process. You will be guided through the checkout and asked to input your data to complete the transaction. Upon placing your order, we will send you an order acknowledgement email; this is to advise you that we have received your order request. When your order is ready to ship, we will then send you a despatch confirmation email. It’s at this point that we accept your order and the contract are formed. We reserve the right to cancel an order should there be an issue with stock levels or payment details, or the identification of a pricing or product description error.  All purchases take place in a safe environment using the latest SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption technology and a secure server.

Liability
The Party Cupboard shall not be liable in any way for any loss or damage arising directly or indirectly from the delivery of goods being delayed or prevented or for any other reason beyond our control including the acts of any third parties. Delivery
The Party Cupboard will deliver any goods ordered to the delivery address supplied when submitting an order. Availability permitting, orders will despatched for delivery within the stated time frame. The despatch of goods constitutes our duty of fulfilling the contract. If you are unfortunate enough to receive a damaged item, please contact our customer service team within 7 days of receipt of goods. They will be happy to assist you and arrange a replacement or refund where applicable. We do advise you to check goods upon arrival. No liability can be accepted for costs caused by late deliveries, or for any other reason. If you refuse delivery, please notify our customer service team immediately.

Returns, Refunds & Exchanges
We want you to be happy with everything you buy from The Party Cupboard. If you are not completely satisfied with any full priced goods you have purchased then please notify us immediately and return them to us within 7 days of receipt of goods for a full refund. Goods must be received in original condition and packaging with all components intact. Ensure that you include full order details otherwise your refund may be delayed. Alternatively you may wish to exchange unwanted or incorrectly ordered goods; please contact us to arrange this. Once your return or exchange has been processed, we will return any monies owed onto the original payment account. All “change of mind” returns must be shipped and handled at the customer's own cost.
